The Fairfield City Council has approved a $311,468 contract with Florida-based CentralSquare Technologies to upgrade the Fairfield Police Department's 15-year-old computer-aided dispatch and records management system. The 10-year contract includes the installation of new software, hardware, servers, and training for almost 100 employees. According to the Fairfield Police Chief, the installation of the system will not impact 911 services or non-emergency calls.
