Gwinnett County, GA Smart Corridor Deployment Program will help emergency vehicles travel faster
Gwinnett County, GA Smart Corridor Deployment Program
Gwinnett County is partnering with the Georgia Department of Transportation to launch the Smart Corridor Deployment Program. The program will allow county-owned vehicles to use onboard units to travel through intersection more easily by sending signals to smart technology-enabled traffic lights. The signals tell the traffic lights to turn green for approaching law enforcement and fire service vehicles. The county plans to install these smart corridor units at 387 intersections in 2022.
