Kamloops, BC mobilizes community members with Big Moves toward climate action and resiliency

Kamloops, BC Community Members Big Moves Climate Action

Complete

The Community Climate Action Plan was developed over three years of engagement sessions and surveys. Project leaders sought resident feedback on how Kamloops can contribute to holding global warming under 1.5 degrees Celsius through 2050. Eight Big Moves like a Car-Light Community and a Healthy Urban Eco-System establish goals, related projects, and estimated emission reductions. Short, medium, and long-term timelines for 66 actions assist with implementation by stakeholders.
