Monash, VIC instructs residents on growing native plants with Gardens for Wildlife program

Monash, VIC Gardens for Wildlife Program Native Plants

Complete

Participating residents received guide books and vouchers for 20 native plants. The council's Sustainable Monash team held virtual workshops on native garden construction and maintenance. Gardens for Wildlife also offered free bee house kits to attract native species for plant pollination. Council leaders pursued the program to create welcoming environments for plant and animal species affected by urban development.
