Council officials advocated for dashcam installation due to extensive local travel by trucks. Dashcams capture videos on their routes and transmit them to an asset management system. This AI-enabled system evaluates videos for potholes, damaged signs, and other road work issues. Projects are prioritized and assigned based on these evaluations. Moreton Bay plans to add dashcams to 28 garbage trucks by 2021.
