The New Move program offered $10,000 AUD grants to businesses that made Newcastle their home. Newcastle produced a 10,000 Reasons website and digital marketing campaign to show how ventures can thrive in the city. Applicants needed to demonstrate how they would create jobs and fit into the local economy. City officials also developed a one-year NewSkills training initiative with mentoring and skill-building courses for residents interested in the next generation of jobs.
