Newcastle upon Tyne City Council launched a new digital service in its online Skills Hub to help match local employers with jobseekers. The Council created the £300,000 service to reduce local unemployment caused by the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The service provides users with information on events, work experience, apprenticeships, training, vacancies, and various other opportunities.
