Officials first used the network to monitor road conditions and traffic patterns in Norfolk and Suffolk counties. IoT devices inform maintenance and upgrade plans for Norfolk Trails based on usage levels. This free-to-use network supports data-driven decisions by local farms and businesses that were difficult to make prior to its installation.
