Parramatta, NSW Smart Streetlight Upgrade Emissions Cost Use

Complete

The project replaces 3,384 lights - 75% of street lights in the city - with LED fixtures and smart controls. Parramatta and project partner Endeavour Energy will monitor smart lighting for real-time performance issues that may require maintenance. Each fixture's light levels can be adjusted based on time of day, traffic levels, and other factors. Smart lighting reduces council emissions by 1,830 tons per year and energy costs by $6.2 million over 20 years.
