The City of Richmond launched a new Community Safety app to foster the partnership between local police and the public. Residents and local businesses can use the app to report a crime, commend a police officer, or file a compliant with the police department. Users also have access to press releases, emergency notifications, criminal activity maps, an events calendar, and information on the Richmond Department of Royal Canadian Mounted Police programs and services.
