Roanoke County, VA broadband connectivity initiative
Roanoke County launched the "Connect Roanoke County to the World" initiative to improve broadband connectivity throughout the community. The initiative allocated more than $4 million in public and private investments to narrow the county's digital divide. The funding is currently being used in partnerships with Cox Communications and B2X Online to provide high-speed internet access to approximately 404 residents and 26 businesses in rural areas across the county.
