SNCF TER improved public transport experience for occasional travellers in Nouvelle Aquitaine

The first step to improve the ticketing experience

The French national railway SNCF is committed to make public transport more flexible for hybrid teleworkers who need passes that fit their irregular travel schedules. The solution is multi-level capping (weekly/20 trips/30 trips/monthly) that adapts to the rider’s actual usage. Based on this experiment, SNCF may consider broadening the use of PAYG solutions. SNCF chose FAIRTIQ technology as it enables flexibility and precise trip mapping, while being entirely contactless.
