Sydney, NSW becomes the first city in the world to test geopolymer concrete paving

Complete

City workers placed 15 meters of the recycled concrete mix along Wyndham Street. Geopolymer concrete is produced at one-third of the carbon emissions of standard concrete while reusing factory ash and slag. The temperature and wear of the test surface will be compared to 15 meters of standard concrete using in-ground sensors over five years.
