Winston-Salem created a Camera Registry Program for privately owned cameras to feed into the center's monitors. An anonymous text system allows residents to send non-emergency tips to police through the center. Additional innovations like ShotSpotter gun detection technology and a mobile reporting platform for officers will expand the center's capabilities.
