Christchurch City Council, NZ Climate Change Risk Screening
Complete
City officials and community members identified climate trends through the end of the 21st century. These consultations identified long-term impacts for the entire region including fewer annual frosts, extreme rainfall, and saltwater intrusion. The 40-page report listed high-priority risks in six Climate Risk Assessment Areas based on minor, moderate, or significant risk levels. A risk matrix provides a baseline for measuring future climate mitigation and adaptation efforts.
