Laredo, TX public Wi-Fi network for students COVID-19
Planning
The City of Laredo is collaborating with two local school districts to create a public Wi-Fi network for students without internet access during the COVID-19 pandemic. The city is planning to create neighborhood access points by placing hot spots at 11 recreation centers, 36 schools, and seven libraries. These access points will be available to the entire community but are specifically designed to guarantee students have access to remote learning during the lockdowns.
