The council held a weekly drawing for $10,000 AUD worth of Shop Orange cards redeemable at participating retailers. Two hundred winners were selected from online and mailed entries to receive $50 AUD each. Shop Orange cards generated traffic to local businesses and encouraged additional purchases that boost economic recovery. Orange officials invested in the Retail Recovery plan after projecting a strong return on investment following five weeks of drawings.
