The Sumner County Budget Committee considers a proposal that would offer county government employees a financial incentive to get the COVID-19 vaccine. If approved, each of the 673 unvaccinated full-time county employees would receive $500 in exchange for getting fully vaccinated or the booster shot. The COVID-19 vaccination incentive program is expected to cost up to $399,258 and would be paid for with a portion of the county's $37 million in American Rescue Plan funding.
