Timmins, ON recycling and donating residential textile waste
The City of Timmins partnered with Talize to recycle textiles and contribute to the Children's Wish Foundation. The pilot program involves a curbside collection service specifically for used clothing, linens, and various damaged textiles. The program was designed to reduce textile landfill waste, which represents 3% or 200 tonnes of local waste annually, without any involvement from the City in terms of cost or labour.
