Auckland Council partnered with Mindkits, a 3D printer manufacturer, by joining the ShieldsUpNZ initiative. The Council's Information and Communications Technology staff is using their 3D printers to create face shield frames for local medical agencies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Council staff working from home used resources it already had in stock such as 3D printers, various materials, and filaments to create the first batch of frames.
