Brisbane, QLD Green Bridge Program to encourage alternate commuting options along the Brisbane River

Brisbane, QLD Green Bridge Program Alternate Commuting

Planning

City officials sought in-person and survey feedback from residents and businesses when selecting green bridge locations. After 3,385 points of contact, Brisbane chose four locations from Breakfast Circle to St. Lucia. Each bridge restricts access to pedestrians and cyclists after consultations found community opposition to transit access. Green bridges will connect with existing trails, transit stops, and ferries for an integrated commuting network.
