Canton expands Wi-Fiber police surveillance system in northeast

City Council on Monday agreed to enter a $108,150 contract for the purchase and installation of 11 cameras and\u00a0two license plate readers.

Project Succeeded

After the Wi-Fiber Smart City Platform helped solve more than 500 crimes in the first 18 months of implementation, the partnership was expanded into every municipal function across the city. The system deployed real-time solutions across the community, saved millions of dollars, and grew the city from a 300 Mbps city to a 100 Gbps capable city.
