Cumbria County Council launched a new emergency support line for vulnerable residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Residents can call the free support line to ask for help accessing food, medicine, essential supplies, etc. The Council has partnered with the Cumbria Community Foundation, volunteers, the military, CVS, and other members of the private sector to coordinate supplies for the helpline. The Council receives approximately 200 calls each day from vulnerable residents on the helpline.
