The city of Detroit, the Office of Future Mobility and Electrification, the Corktown Business Association, and Kiwibot are launching an autonomous delivery pilot program. The pilot will deploy Kiwibot's autonomous electric robots to travel on city sidewalks performing automated deliveries for participating businesses. The pilot will help the city understand operational issues such as navigating around obstacles and develop insights into community engagement of autonomous vehicle technology.
