Galloway, NJ digitized its OPRA system with GovPilot
The Galloway Clerk's Department partnered with GovPilot to digitize its Open Records Requests (OPRA) processing, delivery, and filing processes. The cloud-based system replaced the manual paper-based system which inefficiently processed OPRA requests resulting in a significant backlog of requests. The OPRA backlog made it difficult for the Clerk's Department to meet the state-mandated seven business day response requirement.

Project Succeeded
Since Galloway Clerk's Department digitized its OPRA system, there has been a 80% decrease in improperly completed forms and an 80% reduction in the amount of time spent communicating with requestors and other departments. Galloway staff can process and assign incoming OPRA requests in just one hour compared to half a day using the previous system.
