Joplin, MO one-year electric rental scooter pilot
The City of Joplin is considering launching a one-year pilot project with Bird Rides Inc. to provide electric rental scooters downtown. If approved, Bird Rides plans to provide up to 150 e-scooters for short-trip use within the designated area. The city would be paid a share of the revenue generated by rentals to include a $2,500 lump-sum payment and 15 cents per ride.
