Philadelphia, PA community challenge AR public transit app
The City of Philadelphia's Office of Transportation, Infrastructure, and Sustainability has partnered with SmartCityPHL, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority, and the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University to launch a community challenge to create accessible navigation apps for the public transit system using augmented reality. The AR-based applications must relate to public transit and receive input from people with disabilities and the winner receives $35,000 in prize money.
