Richmond, VA On-Demand Transit Pilot Route Disruptions

City-operated Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) limited late night and early morning routes due to labor shortages. The on-demand transit pilot allows every resident to request one free ride between any two GRTC bus stops per day. Commuters use the Uber app or call a dedicated GRTC line to arrange rides with accessible vehicles available on request. This program operates Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 6:00 am and 11:00 pm to 2:00 am.
