The Vilvoorde City Council launched the "Vilvoorde is yours. Make something of it." campaign to encourage residents to participate in urban development. The city budgeted 3 million euros for a three-year large-scale participation process to improve public spaces, mobility, and infrastructure for eight neighborhoods with the help of residents. Each year the city will discuss three neighborhoods with residents via personal invitations to the city's online participation platform.
