Edmonton, AB introduces Proterra electric buses and a dedicated bus depot

Edmonton, AB Proterra Electric Buses Bus Depot

Complete

Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) replaced 40 traditional buses with all-electric Proterra Catalyst E2s. Each bus uses six all-weather batteries to travel up to 350 kilometers per charge. Transit officials invested in a new bus depot in northeastern Edmonton with overhead charging stations. Edmonton is the first government in North America to use overhead charging for fleet vehicles. ETS also uses Proterra's APEX system to monitor real-time vehicle performance.
