The Municipality of Lecce launched a new electric scooter sharing service to provide residents with a cheaper and more environmentally-friendly transportation alternative to a car. The e-scooters are available to unlock and rent through the BIT Mobility App for 0.29 cents per minute. The e-scooters must be parked in motorcycle stalls, drivers cannot exceed speeds 50km/h, and the BIT Mobility App requires users to complete a series of safety procedures.
