Tasman District Council uses the free mobile app Antenno to send residents relevant alerts and notifications. Users can register places that interest them such as home, work, and school in order to receive location-specific notifications. The Council uses Antenno to send alerts related to road closures, water shutdowns, recycling reminders, local events, consultations, etc. Users communicate directly with the Council to report issues such as graffiti and potholes or submit ideas.
