The Shared Services Partnership (SSP) manages finances and human resources for the council's police and fire and rescue department. Three local councils and one county council shelved their own services for the partnership. The council employs 450 staffers who serve 100,000 public employees using a common set of best practices. Hampshire County Council achieves administrative savings of £2.7 million per year by eliminating duplicated services.
