Christchurch City Council, NZ is deploying free micro-mobility docking and charging stations

Christchurch City Council, NZ free docking stations

In Progress

Christchurch City Council partnered with Big Street Bikers, an electric mobility company, to deploy the "Locky Dock" network of docking station at ten local sites. Residents can activate these free docks using the Bike app in order to lock, dock, and recharge their electric bikes or scooters. Each docking stand will include an interactive display of real-time information on cycling paths in the city. This project was designed to make electric micro-mobility more accessible and affordable.
