The city of Mülheim an der Ruhr partnered with the waste disposal company MEG and the IT company "regio IT" to launch the "MEG-Melder" mobile app. The new waste app provides residents with a waste collection calendar, advice on proper waste disposal, and answers to frequently asked questions about waste disposal services. Users can register up to five addresses to receive notifications if their bins are uncovered, register for bulky waste collections, report issues with photos attached, etc.
