London Borough of Havering, GB food poverty app data pilot

London Borough of Havering partnered with the University of Nottingham and the food-sharing app OLIO to combat local food poverty. The Council is using food donation data from OLIO to identify, track, and predict areas where residents need support to access affordable food. This pilot project allows the Council to proactively help residents who are force to skip meals or have limited access to nutritious food.
