Christchurch City Council, NZ Hāpai Access Card disabilities

Christchurch City Council is partnering with the Hāpai Foundation to support people with disabilities by eliminating barriers. The partnership launched the Hāpai Access Card which helps customers discreetly inform businesses about their disability and any extra support they might need. Participating businesses receive training from the Hāpai Foundation on improving the customer experience for people with disabilities.

The Hāpai Foundation | Hāpai Access Card

The Hāpai Foundation is a new and innovative disability foundation but built on a rich history of success. Our vision is to create a more inclusive Aotearoa by helping more people to “think differently about disability”. A key project to enable this is the Hāpai Access Card.
